- Oct 19, 2009Tom Neale, '44
- Tom Neale '44 died Sunday, Oct ll at Camden-Clark Hospital following a brief illness. He was a graduate of Ohio University and worked in radio and television in Parkersburg until he became Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. Tom was known as the Voice of the Big Reds for 32 years and served on the Parkersburg High School Foundation for many years.
- Oct 3, 2009Arthur N. Gustke, '46
- Judge Arthur N. Gustke '46 died September 27, 2009 in Parkersburg. He served on the 4th. Judicial Circuit Court in Wood County for 18 years, retiring in 1992. He remained active in the court system as a substitute and special judge and is best known for his work with troubled youth, resulting in the Gustke Shelter being named for him.
- Sep 13, 2009Steve Daugherty, '70
- Steve Daugherty, known as "The Voice of the Big Reds", died Sept 6, 2009 at West Virginia Medical Center in Morgantown, W.Va. He worked as a sportscaster for Clear Channel Radio and for many years had been associated with sports programs at PHS. He is survived by his daughter, Lindsey Daughtery Hakim-Ilahi. Donations may be made in Steve's memory to the PHS Stadium Field Project.

- Myra was a graduate of Potomac State College in 1951. She was a former employee of Chancellor Hotel Office, NYU-Bellevue Medical Center (NYC), Office of Vice President and Secretary of NYU, duPont Washington Works and WVU-P. She was an avid reader, loved music and playing bridge.
- Jul 10, 2009Susan Grace Parker, '60
- Susan Grace Parker died April 4, 2009. She graduated from WVU in 1964, was a 38 year teacher in Prince George County, Md. She served on the National Symphony Orchestra Board of Washington DC as the Orchestra Liaison and performed at the Kennedy Center.
- May 5, 2009James Thomas McCoy, '59
- James Thomas McCoy, class of 1959, passed away on April 21, 2009 at Wedgewood Healthcare Center in Clarksville, IN due to cancer.
- Apr 27, 2009Joseph Albright, '56
- State Supreme Court Justice Joseph Paul Albright, 70, died March 20, 2009. He was a graduate of PHS, class of '56, and the University of Notre Dame and the Notre Dame Law School. Joe dedicated his life to public service and the practice of Law.
- Mar 18, 2009Jack Stephens, '46
- Jack passed away June 20, 2008 after a battle with cancer. Jack was an avid fan of PHS. Jack attended just about every girls basketball and volleyball game.
- Mar 18, 2009John Badger, '41
- John passed away October 15, 2008. John was the past president of Badger Lumber Company. John sponsored the Big Red camp for new incoming freshmen and sophomores at PHS.
